Proficient

Developing or contested
The signals disagree, or the evidence sits below the confidence bar for this topic. The agent probes before building on this concept.
Not exposed
The student has never been taught this concept. The agent does not assume prior knowledge. It introduces the topic from foundations.
Disagreement is a state, not a rounding error.
A quiz says the student has it. The self-report says they do not. The tutor's own transcript says something in between. Most systems average those into a single score and move on, and the average is exactly the number nobody should act on. Eruka keeps the disagreement: the topic sits in UNCERTAIN, carries the conflicting sources with it, and the tutoring agent probes the foundation before building on top of it.
